Hi, I’m Andrea.
This work did not begin as a profession. It began as a way of learning how to be with life.
With the loss of my father at an early age, my mother and I moved often. There wasn’t a strong sense of place or extended family around us, and life, in many ways, felt unanchored.
Inside these chapters of instability,, I learned to pay close attention.
To what was spoken, and what wasn’t.
To what others needed, and what might help things feel more steady.
What began as a way of adapting became something else over time.
A capacity to sit with what is present.
To notice what is happening beneath the surface.
To stay, rather than turn away.
My mother did not rush grief. She allowed it to exist in the space around us.
And in that, I learned something that has stayed with me:
That we do not need to move quickly past what is real in order to be okay. In fact, quite the opposite is true.
Years later, becoming a mother shifted my understanding of everything.
I began to see more clearly how much we carry, often without realizing it.
How easily we lose connection to ourselves while trying to care for others well.
How much of parenting is not about what we do, but how we are.
Through Waldorf education, seasonal living, and years of body-centered work, I began to rebuild something I had not experienced consistently growing up.
A sense of rhythm.
A sense of grounding.
A sense of trust in my own inner knowing.
Not as something abstract, but as something lived.
Over time, this way of being became the foundation of my work.
This is not about adding more, instead it is about relating differently to what is already here.
Across all of my work, I draw on:
A deep attention to the body and nervous system
An understanding of boundaries and responsibility
Rhythm as a way of creating steadiness in daily life
Ritual as a way of bringing meaning into ordinary moments
And ceremony as a way of honoring what feels significant

Reflections from Families
“It strengthened our family in ways that will last a lifetime.”
We watched our son evolve through Explorer’s Journey. The process wasn’t always easy, but it delivered its magic. I’m certain our son will carry these relationships and lessons with him for years to come.

“It helped us see our son — and our parenting — with fresh eyes.”
Explorer’s Journey invited us to step back, reconnect with our family values, and let go of past parenting regrets. Andrea and Ted created a space where parents could be honest, open, and ready to learn. Working with them was a gift.
— Kimberly, Parent
“It felt exactly like something our family would create — even though we couldn’t have imagined it ourselves.”
The ceremony Andrea helped us shape felt deeply authentic to our family. What she heard from us and reflected back was an incredible gift.
